A rebuild of a research community where Gulf members answer targeted surveys and polls for points, giving clients first-party opinion data. I wrote the spec and architecture and built the backend and both frontends.
The Problem
The old platform, built by an outside agency, had many features but a core workflow that couldn't be trusted: audience targeting matched nobody, members could submit the same survey twice and earn points twice, and too many rules lived only in the app.
The Solution
A FastAPI and PostgreSQL backend that guarantees exactly-once answers and rewards, with two Next.js apps on top and Playwright end-to-end suites.
Use Cases

Constraints and idempotent writes stop duplicates, even under concurrent requests.
Server-side targeting
Country, gender, and age eligibility checked on the server.
Autosave and resume
Members never lose progress on a poor mobile connection.
Admin console
Survey and poll builders, targeting, publishing lifecycle, results, and CSV export.
Reliable email
Outbox pattern with retries and delivery tracking through AWS SES.
Security and audit
Admin MFA, CSRF protection, audit log, and a deletion queue.
